Embracing Change

“…all suffering of mankind is produced by attachment to a previous condition or existence”

Reading this quote was a light bulb moment for me. How many times have I lamented about how difficult life is now compared to the past? How much fun my childhood was, etc. I have been making myself suffer with my attachment to my old life…it’s time to move on now. I think I’m ready.

The Story of My Life Today

"We must be willing to get rid of the life we've planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us."

You Know You Love Me

Do You Love Me?

In yoga there is a principle called aparigraha, which means “non-attachment”. The philosophy here is that we suffer because we are always yearning for something in the past or something in the future. You will always be unsatisfied going after something that no longer exists or that does not exist yet. If you think about how things are right now, they’re generally just right.

I like that principle, Aves.

Yeah Affie, that’s really nice.
