Here I am blogging when I’m supposed to be thinking about how we can organize our room here in the office. We want to redecorate the whole place but we just need to figure out the configuration of our tables and chairs. We also need to make sure that each and every fiber cable and phone line is where it should be. We are a bit prone to spillage here specially when we’ve had a few glasses of wine…I love my office..
I’ve been craving for jewelry. I’ve been wearing the same ones over and over. I have my engagement ring, my wedding ring, the necklace Ruy gave me for Valentine’s a couple of years ago and some diamond earrings. The same thing day after day after day.
I want to get something new, but I know it’s impractical right now. Although, I guess if I choose some medical jewelry, I can rationalize and say that it’s for medicinal purposes. You can’t put a price on health right?

I am not a cat person. I’ve had dogs for as long as I can remember. I’ve always been the bane of any cat’s existence because of this mindset. Seeing these beautiful cat furniture almost makes me want to own a cat. This is saying a lot coming from me…trust me.
It reminds me of a conversation I had with Ruy just recently. He thinks Andrea should have a pet soon…I beg to disagree. I’m sure this scenario is familiar with a lot of parents out there.
- Dad wants a pet
- Mom says no
- Dad claims to want a pet for the baby.
- Baby and Dad guilt trips Mom into buying a pet.
- Mom gives in because she doesn’t want to seem selfish
- Dad and kid cleans up and takes care of the pet…for 3 days.
- Mom is left with the task of caring for the pet from that point on.

16. What do you do to vent anger? I blog. I write letters to my boss. Yes I’m annoying that way. I figured writing to him is better than talking about him behind my back
17. What was your favorite toy as a child? Doggie!! He’s a poun puppy stuffed toy with a pouch on her tummy area for a puppy. Andrea plays with doggie now

21. Living arrangements? Ruy and I have our own house yet we stay with my in-laws. This MIGHT change very soon
22. When was the last time you cried? Yesterday. Andrea tripped and her chin bled. I wanted to faint (not because of the blood. I actually have no problems with blood)
23. What is on the floor of your closet? I put a plastic drawer there for Andrea’s stuff

Note: I was listening to some songs while working on an excel file (I suck at excel) and just had to take a minute off to write this.
Ruy and I have a major decision ahead of us which is both exciting and scary. This is something good but at the same time it will push both of us out of our comfort zones.
While nothing is set. It raises a lot of fundamental questions which Ruy and I have to discuss as a couple.
This decision might force us to let go of our safety nets and learn how to rise and fall on our own.
While it is a big step professionally, it’s also a HUGE leap personally.
Will we? We don’t know yet
Due to a very public demand of a person who shall remain nameless (let’s just call her J-E-N) here is my blog update.
For valentine’s day Ruy surprised me and Andrea with flowers. We each had our own and it was really really sweet. We didn’t celebrate as we very rarely celebrate this anyway PLUS the traffic is horrible. GOD! I was stuck for almost an hour trying to go home.
That’s basically all that’s been happening…

We had a looong day with Andrea last Saturday as we wanted to celebrate her last month of being a baby. Next month she will officially be a toddler. (huhuhu)
We started by having an early lunch in Chocolate Kiss.
Andrea was a handful during lunch just like she usually is but it was so much fun. She was trying to talk to the ladies sitting beside us and the cook who was preparing our dishes.
The food in chocolate kiss was really good. Andrea really enjoyed their menu…literally!
I wanted Andrea to run around in UP but unfortunately our Yaya forgot to pack her shoes. So here’s Andrea while our small family trekked to Robinson’s Big R for some shoe shopping.
After an hour of looking for shoes. We had to go to the ground floor to buy some stuff from CD-R King. While waiting outside, Andrea ran into her Kuya Gabby. They enjoyed some kiddie rides together
Andrea seemed to enjoy this ride and so Ruy decided to take us all to Time Zone. I personally didn’t think Andrea would enjoy that…but oh boy did she love it there!
(yes I know her shoes and socks don’t match. What can I do? Those are her new shoes by the way)
We ended up winning enough to get Andrea a beach ball with some bells inside which she adored!!
We went home were Andrea walked and played all over the garden.
After all the playing around. It was time to blow the candles on the cake.
It was a long day for an 11 month old baby so this is how she looked at the end of the day.
Good times…=) (She slept for almost 11 hours straight that night)

What special or unusual purchases did I make? Hmmm, nothing really.
What were this month’s disappointments? Work stuff mostly. A whole lot of work stuff
What were my accomplishments this month? Ruy and I started budgetting this year and it seems to be working sooo well
Anything else noteworthy to record? Andrea’s becoming more sociable…a big deal for me as I’m not very sociable.
Damn damn damn. Our total bill has now reached 23k!! Aaaaaargh
Do you ever get the feeling that when you’re already down, people can’t wait to take advantage of you all the more? I know this feeling oh so well and that’s why when I see something that could help people who are in situations which are less than ideal be it financially, emotionally or physically I try to make sure that people know about it.
This company offers Small Business Loans for anyone and everyone. I was actually very impressed with their 24-48 hours approval window for Small Business Loans. Imagine that? I don’t think I’ve ever heard of any company which can offer Small Business Loans that quickly!

Jen has said that this is her year for weight loss. For me, this is the year of my brain. I feel like I’ve let my brain go last year. I didn’t push it or challenge it enough. I can’t do that this year again lest my brain gets used to not having to think so much and turns into mush.
I’ve decided to do this by reading at least one book per month. I’m on my third book now and so I only have 9 left for the rest of the year. I already have 4 lined up so this shouldn’t be too difficult.
I’ve started trying to learn another language through audio books which surprisingly were very helpful. I’ve already finished one financial audio book as well and still have aroung 12 on leaderhip, business and management.
I’m sooo excited.
My grandmother’s funky. Yup, that’s 100% true. She has an affinity for things which some might consider too be not for grandmothers.
She’s in love with WWE. Yes she knows of the drama and the players. She watches this each and every day so much so that she cried when the wrestlers died (Eddie Guerrero, Owen Hart, etc.).
She also loves cowboys. I think she likes their aura and look. Some women like men in uniform and my grandmother likes cowboys…go figure. I can just imagine how much she’ll enjoy going to the NFR if only we can get our hands on some National Rodeo Finals tickets . For those of you who are not in the know when it comes to these things I shall educate you.
The first NFR started in Dallas almost 50 years ago (48 if you’re going to be exact) and it features seven main events: calf roping, steer wrestling, bull riding, saddle bronc riding, bareback bronc riding, and team roping. Needless to say, this is not for the faint of heart.
Wrangler Jeans usually sponsors the event which has been taking place in Las Vegas although we don’t know how much longer it will take place there as Oklahoma has been dying to host this event as well. I sure hope my grandmother finds a way to see this event, she’ll definitely get an overload of cowboys in this event. Yeehaw (wait is that the sounds cowboys make?)
